Luxury Florida Vacation Rental Homes FAQ’S

The following are a small sample of commonly asked questions and their appropriate answer.  If you do not find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to call or email us.  As the owners of Prestigious Villas, we remember the first time we rented a vacation property and the many questions we had, so please know we are always happy to help!

What is the minimum number of nights I can rent?
During holiday weeks the full weekly rental rate will be charged even for stays less then 7 nights. Some owners will allow 4 night bookings, please call us with your dates so we can help you.

Are pets allowed?
We are animal lovers ourselves, but for the comfort of all our guests, we regret that our owners do not allow pets in their homes.

Can I smoke in the home or condo?
There is no smoking allowed inside any of our properties, however, most homes will allow smoking out by the pool area, with the exception of a few homes who strictly do not allow smoking anywhere near the home.

Do I need to go to your office to get and return a key?
With our homes, you can conveniently go directly to your rental property and your access is gained by using the security electronic keypad system located on the front door. This also means you do not need to stop at our office to return a key when your vacation is over. There is never a key given out to any of our properties for a secure vacation experience.

Is the property I see pictures the one I get?
Yes, the pictures of each villa are of that particular vacation home which can be specifically reserved for your family's vacation.

What time is check in and check out?
Check in time is 4:30 PM and check out is 10:00 AM.

Can I get and early or check out late?
Many of our properties are booked back to back which only allows our cleaners enough time to professionally prepare the property for the next guest's arrival. When ever possible, we will try our best to accommodate any of these requests.

Are the pools heated?
The pools can be heated upon request at an additional fee. Pool heating is not included in the rental rates. Pool heat is strongly recommended for the months of October through May.

Do you offer travel insurance?
Prestigious Villas is in the process of offering travel insurance to all our guests but at this time we are referring our customers to the insurance company directly. We strongly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance for their vacation.

What is your cancellation policy?
On the majority of our properties, if you cancel prior to 10 weeks before arrival, your deposit will be returned, minus an administration fee of $50 - $100. Villas 730, 800 & 825 will not refund any monies once 6 months prior to arrival date passes. All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations on all other properties made after the 10 week prior to arrival date will result in a loss of all monies. Prestigious Villas strongly recommends that all guests purchase travel insurance.

Are linens and towels provided?
Yes, there are linens and towels provided in each home including separate towels for the pool area.

Are the vacation homes cleaned daily?
No, each vacation home is meticulously cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. You can request a mid-stay clean directly with the management company, at an additional charge. Mid-stay cleaning fees are determined by the type of clean requested and size of the vacation home. Also, all personal items must be picked up and put away by the vacationers along with the vacation home being vacated during the mid-stay clean.

Is there a washer and dryer at the property?
Yes, each property does have a washer and dryer. Vacationers must provide their own laundry detergents. Please note that any form of bleach in a vacation property is strictly NOT allowed.

Is there a local Management Company?
A local management company which provides 24 hour cover and are available to our guests for any problems they might have.

Why choose a villa instead of a hotel room?
A villa not only gives you an enormous amount of space compared to a cramped hotel room, but the overall, the cost staying at a vacation home with multiple bedrooms will not be much different from the cost of just one room in a moderate hotel at Disney. Also, keep in mind, any group of 6 guests or more are looking at multiple hotel rooms which means you are doubling your room cost per night.

What is provided in each house?
Each property is fully furnished and fully equipped. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and cooking equipment and many appliances including a tea kettle, toaster, coffee machine and blender. There are plenty of glasses, dinnerware, cutlery, pots, pans, and utensils. In each kitchen there is a full-size range, microwave oven, dishwasher and a full size refrigerator with ice-maker.

There are two sets of bed linen for each bed as well as plenty of towels and hairdryers in every bathroom.

There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer as well as an iron and an ironing board.

The majority of our vacation properties do provide some baby equipment items. Upon request, specific baby items in any Prestigious Villa can be provided.

Do I need to rent a car when I stay in a vacation home?
Yes, you may find it difficult getting around Orlando without a car, therefore a rental car is strongly recommended. Windsor Hills Resort does provide limited transportation with pick up and drop off times located at the clubhouse. There is a small fee per passenger and this transportation is not recommended for consideration as your families main form of transportation during your vacation. Florida Transport provides a Meet and Greet at both Orlando International and Sanford airports for those guests needing alternative transportation to a vacation home property.
